A customer asked me to make her a bird bath in the Canal Folk Rose design, but changing the rose colours to red and pinks. It completely changed the feel of the design and I decided to expand on it and came up with this Old English Rose design. It's got the cottage garden feel, but it's quite contemporary in feel as well as these types of blousy blooms are on trend at the moment too. |

Two new bird bath designs that have been added to the collection are the Pastel Anemones and Peacock Jewel. Both have iridescent tiles used to add some metallic sparkle. The other picture shows the new pot range I'm working on, Modern Moorish. Designed for succulents or cactus, it will be part of a set of 3 of the same size with the same design on each one, but with the colours swapped around. I think I will have to make a matching bird bath, so that will be coming soon too. Keep an eye on my Facebook page to see the work in progress on these designs.
Final new design for this post actually turned into two designs. The first design was the Blue Butterfly Water Dish. Then a Facebook follower spotted a second design within the butterflies. So I've created a bird bath with the butterflies that if you flip upside down you get two tone hearts too creating Butterfly Lovers.
Here are the three new roses designs that have now been added to the bird bath section. Canal Folk Roses, Vintage Pink Roses, and China Blue Roses.
Two new bird bath designs that I have created this week, that were heading for the website, but sold on Facebook before they got here. The first is the bird bath version of the Pink Roses hanging heart (also sold on Facebook before it got listed here). The Pink Roses Bird Bath also has the iridescent roses as well as the matt pinks which adds interest to the design, and uses black grout to really pick out the colours. The other roses design is the China Blue Roses. The idea for this design was that the blue roses were representing a pattern that you'd find on a china plate, then the white was a nod to the china being broken in pieces and used to mosaic. I used grey grout on this one because I wanted it quite soft to tie in the white a bit, and the grey reminded me of the rough edges you get on broken blue and white stoneware.
If you follow me on Facebook you can see these designs taking shape, and if you're interested you can message me to see if it's available. You can also message me there if you've seen something that's sold and you can see if I can recreate it for you. You can also use my Contact Form for that too. I've been everso busy, so apologies for not keeping this blog updated with new designs as often as I should. To see the new designs as they get made the best place to follow me is on Facebook where I can share the designs in stages.
Anyway here are some of the designs added since my last blog post. The Hedgehog design Water Dishes are great for small birds to use to bathe in, and larger birds to drink from, during the day and then in the evenings and at night hedgehogs and other wildlife can get a fresh drink too. There is a new Heart Hanging Decoration with a lovely soft palette design. And a new bird bath called Elements has a bit of fire, water, earth, ice and stone to the design.
