If you think talking Christmas in August is way too early, look away now. If you love Christmas, read on...... ![]() Due to other crafters starting to list their Christmas items already on the handmade site, I've had to start making mine too. No use missing the early Christmas crowd. Making Christmas things in August, I thought might be way too weird, but I'm actually really enjoying thinking up, and creating my designs. These are the first items that I've made, two versions of a mosaic Christmas bauble. They can be used indoors, or out in the garden to add colour. This first one is called Gold Star Dust, it has rich jewel tiles with golden stars on, and the background is filled with rich browns covered in a transparent gold which looks like gold dust. ![]() The second bauble is a pastel version, called Silver Star Dust. There are dark grey, and blue/grey tiles with shiny silver stars on them, and the background is pastel shades of blue, pink, white, lilac and aqua. These tiles are covered with a transparent silver 'dust'. The links to my Christmas items are at the very bottom of the Handmade sections. I'm trying to keep it subtle for people that don't want to think about Christmas until at least November. Although I may give in a bit earlier and Christmas up this website, because I quite like Christmas. Even in August.
